The WLA 2009 Scholarships

The Wisconsin Laboratory Association is offering three $500.00 scholarships for 2009 to students who meet the following requirements:

A. Technical Student – beginning of their second year.
B. Undergraduate University Student – entering their 3rd, 4th or 5th year of college.
C. Graduate Student – enrolled in a graduate program.

All applicants must be enrolled in a curriculum that will enable them to pursue a career in a non-medical laboratory related field and has at least a 3.0 or higher Grade Point Average.

Three pieces of information MUST be received by the Scholarship Committee for a student to be considered:

1. A completed WLA application form.
2. Up-to-date transcripts from the school the student is presently attending.
3. Two letters of recommendation from the student's instructors.

The student does not have to be a member of WLA to be considered eligible. Recipients will be selected by the WLA Scholarship Committee, none of whom are affiliated with an educational institution or college. The WLA Scholarship Committee is not required to award a scholarship if a suitable candidate in not found.

The deadline for submitting COMPLETED applications and supporting documentation is October 1, 2009. The scholarship will be awarded at the 2009 Fall Educational Conference.
